SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A train unveiling happened on Saturday in the Electric City. The Steamtown National Historic Site revealed the newly restored Bullard #2 locomotive.
It had been offline since 2010 and, for the past nine years, underwent a comprehensive cosmetic restoration.
Saturday's ceremony gave the public an opportunity not only to see the finished product but also to meet some of the roughly 100 people who collectively volunteered thousands of hours to make it possible.

"I think that what the Bullard represents is a renewed sense of effort and energy here at Steamtown National Historic Site for our restorations and our preserving of railroading history," Steamtown National Historic Site Superintendent Jeremy Komasz told 28/22 News.
"Come take a look at the Bullard #2. It's a beautiful little engine and a lot of great people worked on the locomotive," Mason Rascona, a Volunteer from Cresco, explained.
Now that the Bullard #2 is unveiled, other restoration projects will continue at Steamtown, including three passenger coaches.
