SHAMOKIN TWP., NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police state a girl has died after a UTV occupied by four juveniles overturned.
According to PSP, on July 12, around 7:50 p.m., troopers were called to Reitz Road in Shamokin Township for a UTV crash with an unresponsive girl.

The investigation revealed four juveniles were occupants inside the UTV when it traveled on a private gravel driveway and tried to make a left turn.
Police say the driver's side tire caught on the edge of an embankment, causing the juvenile driver to lose control.
The UTV overturned, and one of the girls inside the vehicle, 12-year-old Amelia Reitz, was killed as a result of blunt force trauma.
She was pronounced dead on the scene by James F. Kelley, Northumberland County Coroner.
