SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Runners of all ages aimed for their best times Saturday at Nay Aug Park.
More than 200 people participated in what's billed as the "BK5K".
It took them two laps around the park to complete the run.
The BK5K Youth Foundation and the industrial supplies company Fastenal holds the event.
It benefits local non-profit youth organizations and programs that need financial help.
The event's initials "BK" stand for Fastenal founder Bob Kierlin who passed away in February.

"Bob was known as a great businessman but his bigger passion was giving back to the community which is why he started the BK5K as a way to bring the community together but then give back and support youth programs which was very important to him," explained Paul Wisniewski, BK5K Race Director.
"I'm glad they're raising so much money but, yeah, I just love running with my family. It's something we're all pretty good at," said Dan Schiller, Runner, Waymart.
This year's BK5K, which is also held in nine other states and several countries, raised more than $25,000 for local youth-based non-profits.
