Man stabbed 12 times after refusing alleged sexual advance

EDWARDSVILLE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a man was found stabbed 12 times after he claims to have declined sex from a woman, leading to an assault.

On July 17, officers were called to an apartment complex on Roosevelt Street in Edwardsville for a reported stabbing. Once on the scene, the victim was found lying on the floor in a pool of blood with injuries to his abdomen.

A witness gave police the suspected knife used in the assault and informed them that the stabbing happened in the parking lot, investigators reported.

Detectives say they went to Gesinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center to speak with the victim, who said he had an encounter with Stacey Dash, 37, outside of her apartment. The victim claimed Dash was "highly intoxicated and solicited him for sex," as stated in the affidavit.

The victim declined the "sexual interaction," leading Dash to become frustrated and go inside her apartment, then her son exited, accusing the victim of assaulting Dash, police stated.

According to court documents, Dash's son fought the victim, then Dash returned with a knife and stabbed him multiple times.

The victim was stabbed 12 times, with one wound two inches from his heart, officers noted.

Dash fled the area but was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault and other related offenses.
