Teen arrested for allegedly stabbing man's face

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A teen has been arrested after police say he stabbed a man in the face during a fight in Scranton.

According to the Scranton Police Department, on July 12, around 3:00 a.m., officers were in the area of Mulberry Street and Kellum Court when a 23-year-old suffering from a stab wound approached them.

The victim claimed he was attacked during a fight near Mulberry Street and Taylor Avenue, where the suspect stabbed him in the lower jaw and mouth area, police reported.

Detectives were able to identify and locate the suspect as a 17-year-old boy from Scranton. He faces aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and other related charges.
