COALDALE, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Three houses were involved in a third alarm fire in Schuylkill County Wednesday night, according to authorities.
Coaldale Fire Chief Steven Polischak confirmed with 28/22 News crews were called to the unit block of East Howard Avenue in Coaldale for a reported third alarm fire just before 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Chief Polischak said that the first and second floors of a house were fully involved with one boy entrapped inside after a fire on East Howard Avenue Wednesday evening.
A fire fighter went inside and rescued the boy who was airlifted to a local hospital.
The boy's father was also taken to the hospital, but treated and released with minor injuries.

Polischak says that three houses were involved with two of them suffering severe damage.
The combination of the heavy fire and entrapment made the fire difficult to handle.
Over 20 fire departments responded to the scene , according to officials.
A PSP Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
