WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Three people were sent to the hospital after a vehicle crashed into Public Square in Wilkes-Barre Tuesday morning.
On July 22, around 2:00 a.m., reports of a vehicle crashing into Public Square were made.
Once on the scene, officers said a Volkswagen Tiguan had left the roadway and entered Public Square before striking a concrete pillar.

The driver, a 26-year-old woman from Berwick, and two passengers, a 27-year-old man from Wilkes-Barre and a 21-year-old woman from Plymouth, were treated on the scene and later taken to the hospital for further treatment. Their current conditions are unknown.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
