Part of Lake Scranton walking path closed temporarily

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A section of the Lake Scranton walking path will be temporarily closed.

Pennsylvania American Water announced that the path will be closed as a safety precaution due to increased truck traffic during maintenance work in the area.

Community pool remains closed after chemical leak

The closure affects the walking path from where the path meets the roadway at the small stone bridge, to the dam near the fishing pier.

The affected area is shown in the map below:

The walking path closure begins on Monday, July 28, and continues through the end of September.
