MOSCOW, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A volleyball tournament in Lackawanna County had dozens of players competing to honor a young man who lost his life in a car crash. More than a hundred people attended the fifth annual Brandon Bisignani volleyball tournament in Moscow.
Brandon was 27 years old when he died in a 2019 crash, and now his family has made it their mission to raise awareness about distracted driving.

Sharing his love for volleyball, local players, and even some from California and Virginia, came together to play at the North Pocono Intermediate Center.
Family members we spoke to say they're in awe at the community support, year after year. "That phone call can wait, that text message could wait, and we're also trying to remind people that if you know someone's driving, please don't text them," Brandon's mother, Sandie Bisignani, told 28/22 News.
"It's just something that you never want to see happen; it's truly tragic. But to be able to bring out people here for awareness is something special," Noah West, Brandon's Cousin, said.
All the money collected in Saturday's competition will go toward a memorial scholarship fund, which will benefit a graduating North Pocono senior to further their education.
