HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A driver is facing charges after police say they ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle.
On July 28, around 11:30 p.m., officers saw a crash occur at the intersection of North Church Street and West Green Street.
Man wanted, accused of stabbing woman
Officers said a vehicle traveling North on North Church Street ran a red light at the intersection, causing it to hit another vehicle that was turning.
Due to the impact, the vehicle traveled onto the sidewalk and struck the traffic control box, disabling the traffic light.
As a result of the crash, the driver is being cited for failing to stop at the red light.
