HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A landmark church will have to be demolished after a weekend fire. That's the word on Wednesday from the Hazleton Fire Chief after Saturday night's fire on West Green Street.
Investigators determined someone intentionally started the flames on the third floor of the old Saint Paul's United Methodist Church.

Much of the roof burned, causing it to collapse. It's unclear what was used to start the fire.
The church had no electricity and had been vacant since 2004.
