Arsonist sentenced in Wayne, Lackawanna Counties

(WBRE/WYOU)— A Gouldsboro man has been sentenced to up to 12 years in prison after intentionally setting fires at multiple locations across two counties.

30-year-old Michael Yzkanin has been sentenced to up to 12 years in Wayne County after setting two buildings ablaze in Gouldsboro, one being the Gouldsboro Inn.

Man wanted after allegedly causing crash, fire while drunk

Police then connected Yzkanin to two fires in Jessup, one on the 600 block of 4th Avenue and another at the Library Pizza Bar.

Yzkanin was also sentenced to up to 12 years in prison on arson charges in Lackawanna County.

Those sentences will be served concurrently.
