DEP air quality warning for several NEPA counties

(WBRE/WYOU) — The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has issued an air quality warning for Monday in parts of northeastern central Pennsylvania.

DEP blames wildfires in central Canada for the Code Orange Air Quality Action Day.

Bradford County

Clinton County

Lackawanna County

Luzerne County

Lycoming County

Sullivan County

Susquehanna County

Tioga County

Wayne County

Wyoming County

Higher levels of particle pollution are expected, leaving young children, the elderly, and people with respiratory issues vulnerable to the effects, and they should limit their time outdoors.
