SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — In Lackawanna County, formal hearings on appeals begin on Monday for the new property valuation.
The hearings will happen at the Marketplace at Steamtown. The county rented space on the first floor between the Electric City Aquarium and Lehigh Valley Health Network.

The county board of assessment appeals and four other boards will be on hand weekdays through October.
The county reports receiving about 4,200 appeals, or a little more than 4% of the 103,000 properties reassessed.
