KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY — It was a nice day on Sunday for a run across the region, and that is exactly what dozens did in Kingston. They took part in the 17th Annual Pauly Friedman 5K Family Walk and Run.
It kicked off at the Friedman Jewish Community Center. The fundraiser also included raffle baskets.
Proceeds go toward PA 211 NE/Help Line supporting vital community services.

It was a cause near and dear to former JCC board member, Pauline Friedman, for whom the fundraiser is named.
"She was a huge advocate of Family Service [Association of NEPA] as well as Help Line, and we created the race in her honor so that we can keep that legacy going," Family Service Association of NEPA CEO Jessica Ives explained.
Medals were awarded in eight age categories to the best male and female runners at Sunday's fundraiser in Kingston.
