On Wednesday, 28/22 News talked with Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo in a "no-holes-barred interview."
Crocamo and Mehalshick talked about a wide range of issues and topics that impact the residents of Luzerne County, the largest county in northeastern Pennsylvania.
One of the biggest being the status of the Luzerne County Bureau of Elections, which has been the center of controversy in recent years. She says they have "righted the ship."
"We have to all row in the same direction, and we are doing that. It takes time, it takes the right people. You have to put the right people in the right spots," Crocamo said.
Mehalshick asked Crocamo about the county's finances. She says that ship too is headed on the right course.
"We are very healthy. We have a credit rating of A-. I went into the Head of Budget and Finance, I said, 'I want an A.' We have to go up gradually, eventually AAA, but we have to do it in gradual steps. I want an A," Crocamo continued.

They talked in depth about the recent controversy surrounding the cancellation of a band at a Rockin' the River event.
She insists politics played no role in her decision to cancel the Philadelphia-based band, Low Cut Connie.
"I made an assessment that because we live in a politically charged world. There are certain elements in Luzerne County that carry that political charge to sometimes an extreme. I could not keep that venue safe," Crocamo explained.
Mehalshick's entire hour-long interview with Romilda Crocamo will soon be streamed on the 28/22 News Live TV App, which you can access on Roku, Apple TV, and Fire TV.
