BUTLER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — We have an update on the homicide investigation of a young teen in Luzerne County. State police say the foster mother of the victim is now being charged in the case.
34-year-old Virginia Delgadillo is now being charged with several crimes in connection with the death of a 13-year-old boy in her care.
In a release from Pennsylvania State Police obtained by 28/22 News, 34-year-old Virginia Delgadillo is being charged with Endangering the Welfare of Children, Corruption of Minors, and Tampering with Evidence.
She and her husband, Cesar Delgadillo, are being denied bail and are being held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.

Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo is weighing in on the killing, sending her prayers to family members.
"It's very disheartening that something like this would happen here in our community, but we're not immune from it and just absolutely distraught," stated Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo.
The county manager says the children in the home were from other counties in the state when placed with the family.
Crocamo tells 28/22 News the other children who were in the home are safe and receiving services.
