SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Kids of all ages hit the hardwood for a good cause on Saturday in Scranton. They filled the gym at Scranton Prep to play in the 11th Annual Cody Barrasse Memorial Basketball Tournament.
Hundreds participated in three-on-three games at the Xavier Center.
Money raised goes toward supporting organ donors and recipients in northeastern Pennsylvania.
The 22-year-old Barrasse became an organ donor in 2013 when he was struck by a car and killed.

There is no shortage of people who support this cause, from referees to on-the-court participants.
"Oh, this is always great to see tournaments like this for foundations and benefits, and it's not that big of a deal for me to be putting my time in and volunteering for this type of community event," Volunteer Official Mike Luciani said.
"I think it's great. Yeah. I think they've had this for a couple of years, as far as I know, but a great charity," 15-year-old Joey Dominick from Old Forge told 28/22 News.
To date, the memorial basketball tournament has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Cody Barrasse Memorial Foundation.
