WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An arrest was made in connection with a weekend death investigation in Wilkes-Barre.
28/22 News checked out the crime scene Saturday at Hazle and Abbott streets.
As stated in the affidavit, the victim was 30-year-old Ayena Velardo, and the accused homicide suspect was 35-year-old Natasha Dixon.
18-year-old dead after Montour County crash
The report alleges both women were in the Mila Lounge early Saturday morning when they accidentally bumped into each other, and that Dixon followed Velardo out of the bar and shot her in the throat.
Dixon is jailed without bail and charged with criminal homicide. She has a hearing set for August 18.
