Four arrested, large amount of meth seized

HAWLEY, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A joint investigation into drug trafficking resulted in the arrest of four people and a large amount of various drugs seized from a residence.

Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin and Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced a joint operation into a drug trafficking investigation in the Hawley-Palmyra Area of Wayne and Pike Counties.

The investigation led to a search warrant being issued for a residence in the 700 block of Church Street in Hawley.

Six charged during DUI checkpoint

Investigators stated they found a large quantity of methamphetamine and a quantity of marijuana at the residence, along with over $4,000 in cash.

Detectives stated criminal charges have been filed against the following four people after the methamphetamine trafficking investigation was completed:

Tami Frick, 60, of Hawley, charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance

Maryann Caggiano, 68, of Hawley, charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance

Stephen Chicoski, 35, of Waymart, was charged with the crimes of theft and receiving stolen property for a previous vehicle theft

Lisa Perkowski, 42, of Hawley, was charged with the crimes of theft, receiving stolen property for a previous vehicle theft

The case will be prosecuted in Wayne County by the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office.
