WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police report a 12-year-old was found breaking into a business, stealing vape pens, and money.
On August 12, around 2:40 a.m., officers were called to a business in the 1400 block of North Washington Street for a report of a burglary.
Police say the suspect entered the business by smashing the glass on the main door. Once inside, the suspect removed vape pens and money from the cash register, according to Wilkes-Barre City Police.
PSP investigating crash into Geisinger facility
Surveillance footage was reviewed, and the 12-year-old suspect from Plains Township was later taken into custody in the area of Mayock and East Main Streets.
The suspect was taken to City Headquarters before being released to a guardian.
