(WBRE/WYOU) — 28/22 News is learning more about the EBT outages that briefly prevented millions of Pennsylvanians from buying food.
The EBT system is how people access their SNAP food benefits.
The system went down more than once during the past week, most recently on Monday night for a little less than an hour.

PA's Department of Human Services says the outages impacted multiple states.
New Jersey-based Conduent said its technicians addressed the "brief" outages quickly.
It's unclear which other states were affected. The company recently listed PA as one of 12 states that got a security upgrade. However, they say the outage was not because of that upgrade.
