MONTOURSVILLE, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say six teenagers were arrested Tuesday morning after being accused of stealing and crashing two vehicles in Lycoming County.
According to the Montoursville Police Department, the teens, ranging in age from 13 to 16, were arrested Tuesday morning after a search.
Police say the group stole a car in Williamsport and a second car from Montoursville. The teens also attempted to steal a third car in Montoursville but were unsuccessful due to the owner coming outside and scaring them away after the car was started, police said.

Police say after being located, the teens crashed both vehicles and fled from the scene. Three of the teens were reported to have been on probation at the time of the incident.
Police thanked the public for assisting in locating the suspects and said eight additional victims have come forward to report that their vehicles were broken into and rummaged through on Monday night.
This is a joint investigation involving the Montoursville Police Department, Williamsport Bureau of Police, South Williamsport Police and Pennsylvania State Police.
