FAIRFIELD TWP., LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — We now know the identity of a Texas man that was killed in a crash in Lycoming county on Tuesday.
The Lycoming County Coroner says 71-year-old William Scott was driving a rental car when he lost control, going airborne for about 100 yards and crashing into an embankment, dying from blunt force trauma.
Lycoming County Coroner Charles Kiessling stated that on August 19, they were called to a crash over the I-80 overpass onto Brushy Ridge Road in Fairfield Township.

State police say the vehicle was traveling at a high speed, went off the roadway, over the I-180 overpass, went airborne, and came down Brushy Bridge Road.
A woman passenger, also from Texas, is being treated in the ICU at UPMC Williamsport Hospital for serious injuries, the coroner reported.
Their condition is unknown.
State police along with the coroner are investigating.
