WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The celebration of America's 250th birthday came to Wilkes-Barre.

It is all part of the "Bells Across PA" initiative, a statewide public art project commemorating next year's 250th anniversary of the United States.

"Designed by a local artist telling the story of these local communities. You know small communities-counties are the lifeblood of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. So excited to be able to tell these stories," said Cassandra Coleman, Executive Director, America250PA.

Bells will be unveiled in all 67 Pennsylvania counties as part of America's birthday celebration.
