ROARING BROOK TWP., LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is charged with homicide while driving under the influence after police say he was involved in a deadly crash that killed a motorcyclist.
On July 6, a crash occurred at the intersection of Route 307 and Donny Drive, involving a vehicle and a motorcycle in Roaring Brook Township.
30-year-old Christian T. Herbert from Scranton was the operator of the motorcycle and was later pronounced dead due to the injuries he suffered during the crash.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the driver of the vehicle, Jeremy Dickey, 45, of Roaring Brook Township, told police he was coming from a beer distributor when the crash happened.

State police said Dickey was questioned if he had anything to drink, to which he responded that he had had a beer two hours ago.
Troopers stated that Dickey had a strong odor of alcohol and his eyes looked glassy, leading police to administer an on-scene test and a blood test. The result showed Dickey's blood contained a BAC of .244%.
As a result of the investigation, Dickey has been charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, involuntary manslaughter, and other related offenses.
