DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Dunmore is honoring a coach who spent more than half a century shaping young runners. The community cut the ribbon Saturday morning on the newly dubbed Vince Fedor Bucktown Trail at Dunmore High School.
Fedor just turned 80. He led the Dunmore Bucks cross country team from 1970 until 2022 and now serves as an assistant coach.

Fedor graduated from Dunmore High School in 1963. The former elementary school teacher has never stopped giving back.
"It touches me, it does, it feels great, and it really is, it's something special. How many people can do this, you know? It was so special to have all these friends who thought so much of me, and I just can't get over it. It's really something special in my life," Dunmore High School Assistant Cross Country Coach Vince Fedor told 28/22 News.
After the ribbon cutting, people took a walk-run on the newly-named trail.
They are also celebrating with an alumni and friends night at Buddy Clarke's Tavern, also in Dunmore.
