Woman pleads guilty after shooting forced school into lockdown

MILL HALL, CLINTON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman has pleaded guilty to multiple charges after police say she fired off a gun, which forced a school to go on lockdown.

According to the Clinton County District Attorney's Office, 37-year-old Ashley Snook, of Mill Hall, entered guilty pleas to several charges on Tuesday, including terroristic threats - causing serious public inconvenience.

The charges stem from an incident in May when police say Snook was involved in a "domestic dispute" at her home, which borders Central Mountain Middle School and Mill Hall Elementary School property.

During the dispute, Snook fired a 9mm pistol outside of the home, shooting a car parked nearby, the release stated.

As a result of the shot being fired, both schools were put on "lockdown" procedures, and Snook was shortly arrested.

Parents of students were notified of the lockdown, which, according to District Attorney Dave Strouse, caused "significant and understandable public alarm."

Snook also faces a reckless endangerment of another person, and other related charges.
