When it comes to politics, northeastern Pennsylvania does not take a back seat to any region in the country.
In my podcast, "The Mehalshick Files" we talk with two people who are on complete opposite ends of the political spectrum, and at times, it gets rather heated.
Thursday, on The Mehalshick Files, we talk about local and national politics with WILK radio talk show host Bob Cordaro and political analyst Dave Yonki, who is administrator for the "Lu-Lac" political letter. Lu-Lac is short for Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.
"A certain amount of people ignoring politics is healthy. I'll disagree with him on that point," stated Cordaro.
"Image is everything, but you have to back that image with results," added Yonki.
Cordaro is to the right, politically, Yonki is on the left.
At times, the podcast conversations got… let's say interesting.
"But let's not talk about the law because basically you have a president that's breaking every law right now," declared Yonki.
"Like which one," asked Cordaro.
"In terms of law," said Yonki.
"Yes," stated Cordaro.
"I could name a couple at this point," said Yonki.
"Please do," declared Cordaro.
"I'll certainly try to do that," said Yonki.
"Kamala and Joe Biden we're saying I wouldn't take this vaccine because it was developed under trump ,and you know they did that," stated Cordaro.
"Wait a minute," interrupted Yonki.
"And as soon as they got elected everything changed," voiced Cordaro.
"where was that in the book," wondered Yonki.
"They had said that," declared Cordaro.
"I have never see that quote, find me that quote," said Yonki.
