One dead after hitting deer in Bradford County

WELLS TOWNSHIP, BRADFORD COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — One man is dead after a crash in Bradford County.

State police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Roaring Run Road in Wells Township on Wednesday, September 3, around 1 p.m., according to the release report.

Search for next of kin after man’s death

A witness told police that he saw the vehicle hit a deer and travel off the roadway into a ditch, becoming airborne before striking a tree.

Officials say the driver was transported before police arrived and was pronounced dead while at the hospital.

The deceased was identified as Terry Hackenberg.

The roadway was closed for several hours due to the crash.
