SHAMOKIN DAM, SNYDER COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Authorities say a woman was sent to the hospital after a crash involving an oil truck occurred Sunday afternoon.
Officials say crews were called to North Susquehanna Trail in Shamokin Dam, Snyder County, for a reported two-vehicle crash at about 4:15 p.m.
Through PSP Selinsgrove's investigation, they found a woman from Maryland driving a white car was in the left lane of North Susquehanna Trail. Troopers continued stating the woman merged into the right lane and struck a truck tanker trailer hauling motor oil, and the car became entrapped.
Firefighters battle Butler Township blaze
State police say Zaycer was injured in the incident and was taken to Geisinger Medical Center for minor injuries. Troopers add that the truck driver was not injured in the crash.
The roadway was closed for a few hours before reopening.
