(WBRE/WYOU) — The former business manager of the Ritz Theater in Scranton, accused of stealing over $74,000 from the business, pled not guilty to the charges on Wednesday.
48-year-old James Olecki of Clarks Summit was arrested in March for allegedly using a company credit card for unauthorized CashApp payments. However, Olecki maintains his innocence.

In a press release, Olecki's lawyer called the charges a "smear campaign" by Ritz Theater owner Joshua Balz.
Olecki's attorney confirms that no preliminary hearing was held on Wednesday and the case will move towards the Trial Court.
