(WBRE/WYOU) — In the aftermath of the fatal shooting of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, several Pennsylvania officials released statements following the incident.
In the hours following the shooting, many Pennsylvania Senators and Congressmen posted on social media their reactions to the political commentator's death.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro posted on Facebook, condemning the attack.
Political violence has no place in our country.
We must speak with moral clarity. The attack on Charlie Kirk is horrifying and this growing type of unconscionable violence cannot be allowed in our society.

Also, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday denounced the violent act on Facebook.

Additionally, United States Senator Dave McCormick posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, sharing condolences for Kirk's family.

Violence is never the answer—no matter your politics. What happened today is horrifying, and must stop. Dina and I will continue to hold his family and all those close to him in our hearts.
