POCONO PINES, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An investigation is underway after police say two people were found dead inside their home in Monroe County.
The Pocono Mountain Regional Police stated officers were called to the 170 block of Crockett's Crescent in Pocono Pines for a welfare check.
A family member reported to police that William and Ellen Nathan, both 82, have not been heard from since the weekend prior.

Security at the private community the two lived in told police that they saw "someone down in the residence along with the odor of propane." The Tobyhanna Township Fire Department was called and stated there were extremely high levels of carbon dioxide detected.
Once inside the home, police say William and Ellen, along with their dog, were found dead.
Detectives believe their deaths appeared accidental due to a faulty appliance. The investigation is ongoing.
