HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police were out in Hazleton after a reported incident Saturday evening.
Authorities told 28/22 News that Hazleton City Police were called to the 1500 block of East Broad Street in Hazleton.
Officers placed police tape around the scene to close off the road.
28/22 News spoke with a neighbor who called 911 to report what he witnessed.
He said he heard gunfire shortly after 5:00 p.m. Then, when he checked to see what happened, he made a disturbing discovery.
"I heard approximately, about four or five gunshots. At that point, I knew it was pretty close. Checking around the corner, I saw a lady that was down in front of the building," Jude Caporusso, a Neighbor, told 28/22 News.

At last check, the 1500 block of East Broad Street in Hazleton remains closed following the unconfirmed shooting in Hazleton.
Officials add that the police and Pennsylvania State Police are actively investigating the incident.
