SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Call it "Touch a Truck" with a twist: Families gathered on Sunday on the campus of Johnson College for an event called Truck and Cruiser Palooza.
Kids were able to check out all kinds of vehicles, including utility trucks, fire trucks, and even a COLTS bus. Some of what they could touch or even climb into included muscle cars.
The event helps raise funds for Johnson College's Skills USA Club.

"It's the ability for high school and college students to actually compete against one another to show off their skills in their specific trade, whether that's HVAC, carpentry, automotive, you name it. There's a competition for just about everything," Johnson College Associate Director of Community Engagement Timothy Frank explained.
"I think it's pretty cool. I know there was a donation that was supposed to be given today, you know, per family, so we're definitely going to contribute to that. Anything to help the local colleges, you know," Dickson City Parent, Mia Lin, told 28/22 News.
This marked Johnson College's first Truck and Cruiser Palooza Fundraiser.
