HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — At least two people are dead and one is in the hospital after a shooting incident that police responded to in Hazleton Saturday evening.
According to a release from the Hazleton City Police Department, officers were dispatched to Hilltop Apartments around 5:15 p.m. for a report of a victim with a gunshot wound.
Officials state that two victims were found with gunshot wounds when officers arrived. One victim was transported to the hospital for their injuries. The victim's condition is unknown at this time.
Man found guilty for murder of girlfriend
Police say another victim was found deceased with an apparent gunshot wound.
A third person, who police believe was the actor, was found deceased in their residence with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Numerous surrounding police departments assisted Hazleton Police with the incident, including Pennsylvania State Police.
Hazleton City Police Department says there is no threat to the public as it was an isolated event.
No names of any of the victims are being released at this time.
