Fire department gets new HVAC system from Mitsubishi

PLYMOUTH, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Mitsubishi is helping out a local fire department in a big way. The Plymouth Fire Department received a new HVAC system that was donated by the company last week.

Workers installed a new Electric Mitsubishi Mini Split on Friday morning. It's all thanks to the Community Awareness Reward Enablement System.

Through the program, equipment is donated to non-profit organizations that can use new heating and air conditioning systems.

"They're here 24/7, so it's important that they should be comfortable while they are here, you know, they don't want to be freezing in the winter, they don't want to be sweating it off in the summer," Owner of K.O. HVAC Cody Orr said.

Workers say they have completed more than 100 Mitsubishi system installs.
