BERWICK, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A community came together Wednesday evening to pack over 15,000 meals for families in partnership with Rise Against Hunger.
More than 100 volunteers gathered at bethany church of Berwick to prepare boxes of food for shipment to families in need.

The church says they were able to accomplish this thanks to a gift given in memory of longtime member Chris Kishbaugh.
"They are going to take package rice and soy flour and package it up to be sent, probably Africa, but somewhere overseas where people are very hungry," Pastor John Leek told 28/22 News.
The church held events like this all throughout the summer.
