Travel agent pleads guilty to theft in Lackawanna County

ARCHBALD, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A West Pittston woman who promised dream vacations but left customers empty-handed has pleaded guilty.

Eileen Miner admitted to 38 felony counts of theft on Monday, including nine cases moved from Luzerne to Lackawanna County.

Counterfeit cash discovered at Mohegan Pennsylvania

Police say she took thousands of dollars through her travel company, Thompson Tours, canceling trips without providing refunds, including a group headed to Italy last year.

Miner was charged with theft and fraud last October. It's not yet known when she will be sentenced.
