Hazleton street to be converted to one-way

HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Locust Street in Hazleton between Diamond Avenue and 15th Street will be converted into a one-way street with traffic flowing south starting September 29.

According to Hazleton City Police, no one will be allowed to travel north on Locust Street between Diamond Avenue and 15th Street beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29.

Police say vehicles must be parked in compliance with the new traffic pattern by the assigned date and time; failure to do so may result in ticketing and towing of vehicles parked in the wrong direction.
