Weather Alert: Gusty winds mixed with rain expected across Pennsylvania

(WBRE/WYOU) — An area of low pressure will move through the region, bringing scattered showers and possibly a few thunderstorms.

There is a marginal threat for a few strong to severe storms, mainly for eastern Pennsylvania. The low-end threats include gusty winds and perhaps a brief, weak tornado. 

In addition, there may be pockets of steadier or heavier rain at times.

A general 0.50-1.00" of rain can be expected, with locally higher amounts in any given thunderstorm.

Improving weather returns Friday with just the chance for an isolated shower. Otherwise, clouds try to break for some sun.

It will become slightly less humid heading into the weekend.
