Ribbon Cut for new WVCA Building in Forty Fort

FORTY FORT, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A snip of a ribbon and a round of applause signals a new chapter for the Wyoming Valley Children's Association. It held the ribbon-cutting on Saturday to mark what will be its new occupational and physical therapy building.

They recently bought the building from a neighbor to fill what the association calls a critical need.

"So previously, Wyoming Valley has been providing OT and PT for close to 50 years. We have now expanded that program because of our centennial campaign, and we are now serving children up to age nine with outpatient speech, occupational, and physical therapy," Wyoming Valley Children's Association President and CEO Nina DeiTos Zanon told 28/22 News.

Wyoming Valley Children's Association expects that the new addition will help triple its student population.
