LANSFORD, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An armed robbery at a grocery store in Carbon County ended with a juvenile suspect in custody on Sunday.
A call reporting an armed robbery at Boyer's Food Markets in Lansford came in around 10 a.m. on Sunday, according to Carbon County Communications Center.
According to a Facebook post from the Lansford Police Department, a juvenile male entered the Boyer's and told the cashier he was robbing the store. He had a pistol and requested money from the cash register.
Playground closed, juveniles arrested for damage
Officials say the cashier gave him the money, and he left the store. He was apprehended shortly after without incident by the Lansford Police.
No injuries were reported at the scene, according to authorities.
Boyer's Food Markets closed temporarily due to the robbery, but reopened at 11 a.m., according to the company's president, Dean Walker.
