SPCA of Luzerne County acquire new building for shelter

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The SPCA of Luzerne County announced it has acquired the former Dundee Gardens property to enhance its shelter facilities.

According to the SPCA of Luzerne County, the new facility, located at 2407 Sans Souci Parkway, Hanover, will expand and enhance the shelter facilities.

"Over the years, our facility has been a dependable source of comfort for each animal that has entered our doors. While we have made considerable advancements in addressing issues such as overpopulation and advocating against cruelty and abuse, we have faced challenges due to the aging infrastructure of our building," said Todd Hevner, the executive director of the SPCA of Luzerne County, in a release.
