MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Traffic is now flowing again on Interstate 81 Southbound after authorities say crews were cleaning up a canola oil spill in Moosic.
Lackawanna County officials on Monday confirmed 28/22 News crews were called after a tractor-trailer that was leaking canola oil at about 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Authorities say it's unknown at this time what led to the leak, but they don't believe it's the result of a crash.

Pennsylvania State Police handled the incident, and officials confirmed a hazmat unit was on scene, along with crews from the Department of Environmental Protection.
Authorities say Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) crews were also called to the scene with directional signs.
At about 9:45 p.m., PennDOT announced all lanes had reopened and the scene was cleared.
