FRANKLIN TWP., CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police confirm five people were killed in a house fire early Wednesday morning that included four children.
Pennsylvania State Police and Carbon County Coroner, Mark Smith, state that a total of five people were killed: one woman, three boys, and one girl were found dead.
Shortly after midnight, the coroner's office was called to the 0 hundred block of Willow Street in Franklin Township for a reported house fire involving fatalities.

Troopers reported that when the fire department arrived, the home was fully engulfed on the first floor and the rear of the second floor.
The coroner's office says the names of the victims are being held to allow for the family and community to mourn their loss.
The scene has since been cleared after firefighters worked on the fire for about six hours.
