Once, there were 90 one-room schoolhouses scattered throughout Montour County, but today there is only one that is still intact, according to Shane Patterson, vice president of the Montour County Historical Society. The Mooresburg One Room Schoolhouse at 685 Liberty Valley Road is still just as it was when it closed in 1964.
