DANVILLE — Montour County issued a declaration of disaster Saturday in response to the pending winter storm."Due to a severe winter storm expected to impact our area with heavy snow and dangerously low temperatures, the Montour County Commissioners have issued a Declaration of Disaster Emergency, effective immediately," according to a release from the county.This declaration allows the county to take necessary emergency actions to protect public health and safety and to ensure essential services can continue during the storm, officials said."Please use caution, limit travel when possible, and continue to monitor local updates. Stay safe, Montour County," officials said.
