Police chase ends with driver arrested

WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A driver has been arrested after police say he led officers on a chase through Lycoming County.

On Wednesday the Lycoming Regional Police Department arrested 20-year-old Kyle Grugan as he was a suspect after a police chase occurred.

Officers said they tried to stop a car for traffic violations, but Grugan, the driver, fled from police, leading to a chase through Lycoming County.

Police stated they decided to stop the chase because they were concerned for public safety.

Investigators say they located Grugan's car on Grand Street, established a perimeter, got a search warrant, and arrested Grugan, who confessed to fleeing from police.

Grugan was charged with fleeing and eluding, recklessly endangering another person, and numerous traffic violations. He was taken to the Lycoming County Prison on a $75,000 bail.
